Applied Statistics

Motivation

Statistical research is often focused on the derivation of theoretical properties of different methods and estimation techniques. However these properties are of little use if the methods themselves are unable to respond to real-world problems where there is a need to use appropriate analytical tools. Our work aims at delivering these tools whenever they are not available or further investigating the properties of existing approaches which allow to answer a specific applied question. With collaborations within the academic, public and private sector, we are extremely motivated in learning about different fields of research while providing concrete statistical answers to these applied problems.
